The primary care method for mohair knitwear is airing, as the material naturally repels dirt. Small stains can be removed locally using a cloth dampened with diluted wool detergent.

It is also good to maintain the garment regularly so it stays neat after repeated use. Lay the garment flat during maintenance. Lightly mist the surface with water using a spray bottle and gently brush with a soft clothing brush using strokes in one direction. Regular care extends the time between washes and helps you enjoy your valuable knitwear for longer.

Wash gently by hand. Use a mild liquid wool detergent and lukewarm water (20°C). Move the garment carefully in plenty of water—do not soak or rub. Rinse thoroughly with cool water. Shape the garment to its measurements on a flat surface, such as a large terry towel. Roll the towel and gently press out excess water. Dry flat on a towel in an airy space. Avoid heat and direct sunlight during drying.
