Alpaca knitwear benefits from regular care to keep it looking beautiful even after many wears. The best first step is airing the garment, as alpaca fibre naturally repels dirt. Small stains can be removed locally with a cloth dampened with diluted wool detergent.

To freshen your garment, lay it flat on a clean surface. Lightly mist the surface with water using a spray bottle, then gently brush the fabric in one direction with a soft clothes brush. Regular care helps extend the time between washes, allowing you to enjoy your precious knitwear for a long time.

Hand wash your alpaca knitwear gently. Use a mild liquid wool detergent and lukewarm water (20°C). Move the garment gently through plenty of water; do not soak or rub. Rinse thoroughly with cool water.

Reshape the garment to its original measurements and lay it flat to dry, for example on a large terry towel. Roll up the towel and gently press out excess water. Dry the garment flat on a towel in a well-ventilated place. Avoid heat and direct sunlight while drying.
