CARE INSTRUCTIONS

The primary care for alpaca knitwear is airing, as the material naturally repels dirt. Small stains can be removed locally with a cloth dampened in diluted wool detergent.

It is also advisable to maintain alpaca garments regularly so they continue to look neat even after repeated use. Lay the garment flat for maintenance. Lightly mist the surface with water using a spray bottle and gently brush it with a soft clothing brush in one direction. Regular care extends the time between washes, allowing you to enjoy your valuable knitwear for longer.

Hand wash your alpaca garment gently. Use a mild liquid wool detergent and lukewarm water (20°C / 68°F). Move the garment carefully in plenty of water—do not soak or rub. Rinse thoroughly in cool water. Reshape the garment to its original measurements on a flat surface, such as a large towel. Roll the towel and gently press out excess water. Dry flat on a towel in a well-ventilated area. Avoid heat and direct sunlight during drying.

The orders are dispatched from Finland either as first-class letter mail or as parcels, depending on the size of the order. Concept Silk-Alpaca is a luxurious and refined fluffy yarn. Soft alpaca fibers are spun around a silky core thread, giving the yarn a delicate, hazy texture. Made from high-quality alpaca fiber and prized Mulberry silk, this lightweight yarn is ideal for knitting delicate and elegant sweaters, tops, and luxurious accessories. Thanks to its airy and breathable structure, it is suitable for year-round use – a charming short-sleeved alpaca top would suit both mother and daughter alike.

You can also knit with Silk-Alpaca held double or combine it with another fine yarn; we highly recommend pairing it with Concept by Katia Alpaca Lace, for example.
