CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Mohair garments love fresh air, so air them regularly. Remove small stains locally with a cloth moistened with diluted wool detergent, then rinse the cleaned area with water.

Turn the garment inside out and gently hand wash it in lukewarm water (max. 30°C / 86°F). Use a liquid wool detergent suitable for wool and silk. Rinse the garment gently by moving it lightly in the water.

Do not spin! Remove excess water by rolling the garment, while keeping it in shape, inside a clean terry towel and gently pressing it. Reshape the garment to its correct dimensions and lay it flat to dry on a towel. Avoid heat and direct sunlight while drying.

DELIVERY

The average delivery time to Finland is 5–7 business days, to Scandinavia 6–8 business days, to the rest of Europe 7–14 business days, and to the rest of the world 7–30 business days. The orders are dispatched from Finland either as first-class letter mail or as parcels, depending on the size of the order. For logistic reasons, the order may be divided into several consignments, which may reach the customer at different times.

Kid Silk is a soft and fluffy lace-weight yarn spun from kid mohair and silk. Kid mohair comes from the fleece of the Angora goat and is prized for its softness, lustrous appearance and breathability.

Our Kid Silk range is available in five beautiful, eye-catching shades, with the silk fibres giving the yarn a sophisticated lustrous finish. The yarn has excellent yardage: each 25 g ball contains 225 metres (100 g ≈ 900 m), making it quick and enjoyable to knit. In addition to basic and lace stitches, Kid Silk is particularly well suited to a variety of ribbed and brioche patterns.

When knitting with fluffy yarns, it is a good idea to choose slightly larger needles than usual to create an airy fabric. As the garment is worn, the fluffy fibres bloom and become more prominent, filling out the surface of the knitted fabric.

Garments knitted with Kid Silk are lightweight, soft and warm. Knit a beautiful scarf, cosy hat or lovely sweater to see you through cooler days. Thanks to its breathability, Kid Silk is also an excellent choice for short-sleeved sweaters and other lightweight knits for warmer seasons, for both adults and children. The yarn is also easy to combine with lightweight, smooth basic yarns, such as Katia Silky Lace.
