When beautifully soft, subtly shimmering viscose fiber is combined with delicate alpaca wool, the result is the irresistibly appealing Alpaca Lace yarn. This soft and slightly fluffy yet refined blend contains 70% viscose and 30% superfine alpaca. Alpaca Lace is lightweight, while the alpaca adds warmth and the viscose provides breathability. The yarn’s surface glows beautifully in elegant knits for special occasions or in lightweight accessories.
Alpaca Lace is suitable for both knitting and crochet. It is at its most stunning in delicate lace patterns or, as shown in our swatch, crocheted into a mesh-like texture embellished with bobbles. Alpaca Lace is ideal for all seasons. For summer, you can knit a gorgeous sleeveless top and a small triangular scarf. For winter, it makes a striking sweater with wide sleeves.
The alpaca wool originates from Peru, and the yarn is produced according to fair and responsible trade principles (Peruvian Fair Trade). The yarn is designed in Spain and spun in Italy.
