An irresistibly soft merino wool and silk blend, perfect for delicate and comfortable knits. Katia’s lightweight and airy Merino-Silk yarn is made from high-quality, long-fibre merino wool and luxurious silk, with a touch of polyamide to add strength and durability to the yarn. This yarn combines the best qualities of merino wool and silk: softness, breathability and a wonderfully pleasant feel against the skin.

Merino-Silk is made using a chainette construction, where the fibres are knitted into a flexible, cord-like structure rather than being traditionally twisted together. This construction gives the yarn its characteristic lightness, softness and breathability, while creating a beautifully even knitted fabric. It is ideal for simple textured stitches and delicate lace pattern designs.

The adorable little 25 g ball contains approximately 95 metres / 104 yards of yarn, making Merino-Silk surprisingly generous for its size. It is perfect for creating the sweetest baby garments, as well as lightweight sweaters and scarves.
