Kid Silk Nuance is designed especially for those who appreciate elegant and timeless accessories and garments. Knit a delicate neckerchief, a lightweight cardigan or a slipover, or perhaps a beautiful short-sleeved sweater for a truly special occasion. Just four small balls are enough for a women's size M sweater. The yarn can be knitted on its own, held double, or combined with another lightweight yarn.

Kid Silk Nuance is particularly well suited to lace knitting, a variety of ribbed patterns and delicate textured stitches.

What is Mohair?

Mohair fibre comes from Angora goats raised in Turkey and South Africa, which are shorn once or twice a year. Mohair is exceptionally lightweight, lustrous, warm and durable. Kid mohair is obtained from the first shearing of young goats. It is particularly fine, soft and precious.

As mohair yarn is naturally slippery, we recommend using wooden or bamboo knitting needles. The slightly textured surface of the needles provides the necessary grip, helping stitches and yarn overs remain even and consistent.

Use the larger needle sizes indicated in the recommended needle size range. A relaxed, airy gauge allows the natural fluffiness of the mohair to develop, creating a delicate, cloud-like halo effect across the surface of the knitted fabric. A fabric knitted too tightly will flatten the mohair's natural softness and loft.
